You may use a piece of damp sterile gauze or a damp clean washcloth to wipe the baby’s teeth. You may also use an extra soft bristled toothbrush with a small head.  There are some toothbrushes made specifically for infants.  Wiping or brushing your infant’s teeth at least once a day (preferably at bedtime) will remove and/or disrupt the colonization of bacteria that can lead to decay.
